Potion

Spicy and captivating... let it work its spell on you

I bought this at the start of summer which was perhaps not the best idea, because it is certainly more of a wintry scent. The rose and carnation fragrance does give hints of a summer garden but the orange and clove take the leading role, giving a more wintry feel to the fragrance. It does last all day and is a very strong solid perfume (don't overdo it) and is not recommended if you suffer from headaches, but all in all it is very sophisticated and sexy.

Sympathy For The Skin

White chocolate whipped body cream... yummy

Although this product is marketed as having a "banana custard" scent, "white chocolate with vanilla" is more accurate. Speckled with flecks of vanilla pod and made with mashed bananas, this cream made me want to grab a spoon and eat it like a very luxurious yogurt. Good thing I didn't though, because it will last me much longer used as it says on the pot. Although I would wear it for scent alone, it is in fact the most softening body lotion I have ever used... and will continue to use for a very long time into the future. Absolutely mouthwatering.

Catastrophe Cosmetic

The perfect way to solve a catastrophe of the skin

Catastrophe Cosmetic is the second Lush face mask I have tried and I must say I am highly impressed. Prior to the re-pricing of the masks, which has resulted in them all being priced the same, this was by far the most expensive. I had always wanted to try it but it was way out of my price range. However, when the price change came into place I siezed my opportunity and purchased the pot of purple loveliness for my skin - which had indeed become a bit of a catastrophe. After just one application of the beautifully textured and delightfully scented mixture, my skin had a much more even tone and was not in the least flakey. Since then my skin has also stopped erupting at the slightest provocation. Wonderful!

Jingle Jelly

Festive fun in the shower
This sparking green shower jelly has a rather intoxicating scent which I'm personally not a fan of. It's spicy, green and rather piney but Lush's take on this smell just doesn't do it for me. The jellies also tend to leak a lot which doesn't impress, but if you do manage to get a nice solid blob it can get you endless amusement and clean skin and hair. Worth a go, but you're better off getting one with a different scent.

Christmas Angel

Delicious, but not edible...

This minty bathtime treat fizzes gently, releasing a luxurious froth and then a wonderful surprise of chocolate lumps! Yummy... Or not. When I tasted a bit of the chocolate my taste buds were in shock until the next morning. But then again it serves me right for being so greedy... This sparkly delight is more than satisfactory without tasting good too.

Mask of Magnaminty

This lovely green face mask is the only one with a shelf life exceeding 2 weeks, but this advantage is dashed by the fact it contains a preservative in order to achieve this. Which is a shame really, because this minty mask of magnificence is a lovely treat which is sure to brighten and clear the skin, and it's especially nice straight out of the fridge in summer.

Snow Fairy

A pink pot of girliness

Snow Fairy is pure girl. Pink, sparkly and sweetly scented, this bottle of shower gel could be the most girly product Lush has ever made, despite several men who are known to love it (we won't tell)! But despite all the hype about it, it's nothing more than a bunch of chemicals really. The most girly, but the least natural. And I know where my priorities are! Despite this, I must admit it makes a pretty good shampoo and is great for little girls, as long as you don't mind the chemicals.
